Diptford Church of England Primary School

Welcome to Diptford Church of England Primary School

Our school is an integral part of the thriving village of Diptford and has a true family feel where we are all valued. Our strong vision of 'Let your Light Shine' weaves through all that we do and we strive for the pupils in our care to thrive both academically and in their personal and social development. At Diptford, we aim to provide every child with the best possible learning experiences so it will inspire them to become successful and lifelong learners.

The school has remained at the heart of the village community since its establishment in 1845. Set within a charming, rural environment, it benefits from extensive and beautifully maintained grounds that enrich our pupils' learning experiences, particularly through outdoor education sessions. Our facilities include an on-site woodland area, an outdoor shelter, amphitheatre-style seating for open-air lessons and spacious play areas and sports field. In addition, two new classrooms were completed in September 2023, further enhancing our learning environment.

We are proud to be part of the Link Academy and have strong links with other Schools in the Trust which are situated across Devon, offering additional opportunities such as sports festivals for every year group.  I do hope that you will enjoy learning more about us from our website and Facebook page however if you would like to find out more information, do contact our Administrator, Shirley Timothy, in the school office and we would be delighted to show you around.
